Smile Favorites aims to offer you a pleasant shopping experience: from the moment you browse our website to placing and receiving your order. Smile Favorites is responsible for data processing. In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we collect and use and for what purpose. Our privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services offered on it. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 10/10/2024; with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. We advise you to read this carefully.

Use of personal data
When using Smilefavorites.nl, we obtain certain data from you. This may include personal data. We only store and use the personal data directly provided by you, in the context of the service you requested, or of which it is clear upon provision that they are provided to us for processing.

We use the following data for the purposes stated in this privacy statement:

  • Email address
  • Purchase history

Registration
For certain parts of our webshop, you must register first. After registration, we store the personal data you provided via your chosen username. We store this data so that you do not have to re-enter it every time and so that we can contact you regarding the performance of the agreement.

We will not provide the data linked to your username to third parties, unless this is necessary for the performance of the agreement you conclude with us or if legally required. In case of suspected fraud or abuse, we may hand over personal data to the competent authorities.

Processing your order
To process your order correctly, we need important information from you. When you place an order with us, you provide us with your name, address, email, phone number, payment method, and of course, the ordered products.

When you complete an order, your payment is processed by our payment partners and your order is sent to our warehouse partner. When your order is ready for shipment, we share your name, address, email, and phone number with our carrier to deliver your order.
Our payment provider and our carrier do everything to protect your data.

Customer Service
If you contact our customer service, your personal data will be registered. Our customer service has access to all information regarding your order. This allows them to help you as best as possible if you have questions about the status of your order or when you return an item. Customer service also has access to previous correspondence. This helps to provide you with better service.

SOFTWARE & HOSTING
Hosting
We purchase web hosting and email services from Hostnet.
Hostnet processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Hostnet has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Hostnet is obliged to confidentiality under the agreement.

Lightspeed
Our webshop is developed with Lightspeed software. Personal data that you make available to us for our services will be shared with this party. Lightspeed has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Lightspeed is obliged, based on the agreement we have with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Lightspeed uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored. Lightspeed reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve the service.

Office365
For our regular business email traffic, we use the services of Office365. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Office365 does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

 

Exact
For our administration and accounting, we use the services of Exact. We share your name, address, and place of residence details and information related to your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is securely transmitted and stored. Exact is bound by confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Exact does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

PAYMENTS
Buckaroo

For handling (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the Buckaroo platform. Buckaroo processes your name, address, and place of residence details, and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Buckaroo has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Buckaroo reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in this context, share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Buckaroo's services for which they engage third parties. Buckaroo does not store your data longer than permitted by legal terms.

We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are obliged to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They only use this data for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. We never publish your customer data. Only upon request by the holder himself.

Provision to third parties
We may pass on your data to our partners. These partners are involved in the performance of the agreement. Social media buttons are included on smilefavorites.nl. The administrators of these services collect your personal data through them.

LOGISTICS
PostNL
When you place an order with us, it is our task to deliver your package to you. We use the services of PostNL for carrying out deliveries. It is therefore necessary for us to share your name, address, and place of residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this data only for the purpose of performing the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also makes your data available to these parties.

DHL
When you place an order with us, it is our task to deliver your package to you. We use the services of DHL for carrying out deliveries. It is therefore necessary for us to share your name, address, and place of residence details with DHL. DHL uses this data only for the purpose of performing the agreement. In the event that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL also makes your data available to these parties.

Through smilefavorites and third-party partners including Google, data is measured and collected by placing cookies, to advertise personally and non-personally.

When you first visit smilefavorites.nl, a message will be displayed explaining why we use cookies. Further use of smilefavorites.nl is considered as consent to this use of cookies. You are free to disable cookies through your browser. Please note that smilefavorites.nl may then not function optimally.

We have made agreements with our partners who place cookies about the use of cookies and applications. However, we do not have complete control over what the providers of these applications themselves do with the cookies when they read them.
